AMERICAN COLLEGE OF MARTIAL ARTS RULES
1. Always show respect for the training facility, instructor, other students and guests.

2. When entering the school, bow, first to the flag then to the instructor. When leaving bow, first to the instructor then the flag. The flag is first and last.

3. All school age students must maintain a passing grade in their academic subjects..

4. Listen to each instruction carefully. Ask questions if you do not fully understand the technique. Only attempt the technique after you fully understand all of it, not just part of it. After a full understanding, respond immediately.

5. Always practice each technique with care and caution as to not over exert yourself or injure the person you are practicing with.

6. Always practice your techniques slowly. Slow practice makes graceful fluid motion. Think each move through so you will be able to do them with precision. Sloppy practice makes sloppy technique.

7. When showing techniques to new students or friends remember to use extreme caution. The person you are showing the technique to may not have the ability to recover in time if you make a mistake.

8. When talking about the school to students from other schools use care and caution so you will not cause ill feelings. Remember that each martial arts practitioner believes that their style is the best or they would be in another style.

9. Practice school and self-hygiene. Keep your uniform clean and return all equipment to proper place when you are finished with it. Remember that the school belongs to you, so take care of it.

10. Do not smoke. Smoking will slow down your performance.

11. Absolutely no unsupervised sparring.

12. Pay dues on time.

13. The gym is for adult students only. Those using the gym have an access fee of $10 and must be 13 years or older. Minors must have parental consent.

14. Arrive promptly for class.

15. No hats on in the school.

16. If you have a question, ask it. It is better to appear ignorant for one moment then to be ignorant for a lifetime. .
